  1. Bulletins Menu

  3. Note that the Bulletin Status, displayed at the foot of the
  4. Bulletins Menu, reflects the status of bulletins generally, not
  5. just those in the current conference.
  6.  
  7. Cursor Up    }  Use these keys to select a particular bulletin
  8. Cursor Down  }  from the current conference.
  9. Page Up      }
  10. Page Down    }
  11.  
  12. Ctrl/PgUp - move to the 'previous' conference in the conference
  13.             list of the current message base.
  14.  
  15. Ctrl/PgDn - move to the 'next' conference in the conference list
  16.             of the current message base.
  17.  
  18. Enter - if the currently highlighted bulletin is unread then
  19.         display it. Otherwise, move highlight bar to 'next unread'
  20.         bulletin, changing conference if necessary. If there are
  21.         no unread bulletins, move highlight bar to next bulletin
  22.         in the current conference.

  24.         Note that, if there were unread bulletins in conference
  25.         0 when the Bulletins Area was first entered AND the area
  26.         was entered using the Return key, rather than Tab, then
  27.         Power-QWK considers you to be in 'just browse conf 0'
  28.         mode. When there are no more unread bulletins in this
  29.         conference, Power-QWK returns to the Topics Menu.
  30.  
  31.         This is therefore the default reading mode when reading
  32.         newly downloaded mail packets by the recommended method
  33.         of repeatedly pressing the Return Key.
  34.  
  35. Tab - display the highlighted bulletin, whether or not it has been
  36.       read already.
  37.  
  38. Shift/Tab - call another program to process the highlighted
  39.             bulletin. For bulletins larger than 64Kb, you may use
  40.             this facility to invoke your favourite editor or
  41.             file display program.
  42.  
  43.             You could also use it to pass the contents of the
  44.             bulletin to programs such as TheDraw or UUEncode.
  45.  
  46. Del - delete the currently highlighted bulletin. Power-QWK asks
  47.       for confirmation before performing the deletion.
  48.  
  49. Esc - quit the Bulletins area. Return to either the Topics Menu
  50.       or the Message area, depending on how the Bulletins area was
  51.       entered in the first place.
  52.  
  53.       If returning to the Messages area, and you have changed
  54.       conference while in Bulletins, Power-QWK will ask if you
  55.       want to return to your original conference in the Messages
  56.       area or stay in the one currently selected in the Bulletins
  57.       area.

  59. R -   Mark the currently highlighted bulletin as 'read'.
  60.  
  61. U -   Mark the currently highlighted bulletin as 'unread'
  62.  
  63. F2 -  call up the Conference Pick List, from which to choose a
  64.       new Conference to be entered.
  65.  
  66.       In a Bulletins area, the Conference Pick List shows an
  67.       asterisk against the names of conferences which have unread
  68.       bulletins.
  69.  
  70.       In a Messages area, it places an asterisk against the names
  71.       of conferences which have unread mail.
  72.  
  73. Whenever a Bulletin is actually on display, you can also press F
  74. to transfer its contents to a DOS file, P to print it or T to
  75. 'steal' text from it to be added into your Taglines file.

  77. For more help, press F1 again when there is a bulletin on display.
